Gate of Heaven

Let this stunning necklace remind us of the "pearly gates" in heaven. This 14 karat gold circle necklace has large, uniquely shaped, fine, white, freshwater Keshi pearls. The pearls dangle from the circles which gives this necklace a voguish style to accompany any summer outfit.  Length of the necklace is 16 inches with a 2 inch extension chain. 

The idea of there being “pearly gates” in heaven is based on a reference in the Book of Revelation describing the twelve gates of New Jerusalem. The passage describes an immense and lovely city with a wall built of jasper (a kind of precious stone that can be red, yellow, brown or green) and twelve foundations of different gemstones. The gates themselves are then described: “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.”  Revelation 21:21.
